You have landed on the official web site of fish and fishing in Sweden´s second largest lake Vättern! Vättern and it´s surrounding nature is one of Sweden´s most unique areas for fishing and out-door activities. How about 31 species of fish, a Secchi disk depth of 14 meters and 642 km shoreline where, in many places, high cliffs provide an excellent view over the lake! The fishing is of world class when it comes to species of landlocked Atlantic salmon Arctic, char and pike.
The web site includes a guide to the different types of fishing in the lake and information on the administration and management of the fish. The site also provides a complete list of which rules that apply to you when you want to fish in the lake. The four regional authorities surrounding the lake are responsible and have developed the pages on this site together with the local authorities and fishery organisations.
