Different ways of finding your way around the website

On our home page you will find a menu at the top  where most of the information about our activities can be found. The home page also has links where you can apply for a permit, for benefits and forms for support and assistance, publications, as well as current issues and news.

Search words are in alphabetical order – they relate to areas that we know that many people want to find out about on our website. For example, if you are looking for Noise, you should click on the letter N.  

Search function

There is a search window in the header where you can enter any word; a search can then be made of the entire website. It provides hits related to all types of content.

Displays the hierarchical structure.  

Share information

All pages on this website have a feature which enables you to share information on the page in social media. The function is located below the page heading on the right of "Print".  

Accessibility

The website conforms as far as possible to the guidelines regarding accessibility on the Internet. We have used Verva's guidelines: Guidance document 24-hours web which complies with WAI's guidelines WCAG 1.0. This, as far as possible in the platform we built the website in.  

Customise the website

The website does not have its own Adapt function as adaptations risk disrupting the user's own settings. It is easy to customise your browser's own settings so that, for example, you can get more contrast or a larger text.  

Recommended browsers

Our website works fine in modern browsers that support web standards set by W3C. This includes, for example, newer versions of Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Opera and Google Chrome.  

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file which the website saves on your computer. Cookies are used to give a visitor access to different technical features.  

There are two types of cookies:

• One type saves a file for an extended period on your computer. It is used, for example, for functions that inform you about what is new since the user last visited the website.
• The second type of cookie is called a "session cookie". The cookie is stored only temporarily in your computer's memory while you are on a website. The function, among other things, monitors which language you have selected. Session cookies are not stored on your computer for an extended period of time, but will disappear when you close your browser.  

Turn off the cookies funktion

If you do not want to receive cookies, the function can easily be turned off in your browser. This may however cause some websites to not function correctly. Tillgänglighet

Länsstyrelsens webbplats följer så långt det är möjligt de riktlinjer som finns för tillgänglighet på webben. Vi har använt Vervas riktlinjer: Vägledningen 24-timmarwebben som följer WAIs riktlinjer WCAG 1.0. Detta så långt det är möjligt i den plattform vi byggt webben i.

Anpassa webbplatsen

Webbplatsen har ingen egen Anpassa-funktion eftersom anpassningarna riskerar att störa användarens egna inställningar. Det är lätt att anpassa webbläsarens egna inställningar så att du till exempel kan få högre kontrast eller större text.

I de flesta moderna webbläsare kan du få större text genom att hålla ner Ctrl-tangenten och snurra på mushjulet. Du kan också ändra textstorlek i webbläsarens menyer under Visa-menyn. Där väljer du antingen "Textstorlek", "Öka teckensnitt", "Minska teckensnitt" eller "Zoomfaktor", beroende på vilken webbläsare du har.

Anpassa kontraster och färger gör du under webbläsarens Verktyg-meny. Välj "Internetalternativ" och antingen "Teckensnitt" eller "Färger" under "Allmänt".

Rekommenderade webbläsare

Vår webbplats fungerar bra i moderna webbläsare, som stöder webbstandarder satta av W3C. Det är till exempel nyare versioner av Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Opera och Google Chrome.

Våra e-tjänster kan fungera med andra webbläsare och på andra operativsystem, men vi har ingen möjlighet att ge något tekniskt stöd vid eventuella problem. De elektroniska tjänsterna fungerar inte med äldre webbläsare som t ex Internet Explorer 4.x och Netscape 4.x eller tidigare versioner. Din webbläsare måste ha support för Javascript för att du ska kunna logga in på e-tjänsterna.

Vad är cookies?

En cookie är en liten textfil som webbplatsen sparar på din dator. Cookies används för att ge en besökare tillgång till olika tekniska funktioner.

• Den ena typen sparar en fil under en längre tid på din dator. Den används till exempel vid funktioner som talar om vad som är nytt sedan användaren senast besökte den aktuella webbplatsen.
