Opening hours

Naturum is open every Sunday all year round. And it is open even when closed! You can always ring and book a guided tour in naturum. 0370-237 92.

Exhibition

Millennium by millennium you can follow Store Mosse and the changing landscape. On our journey through time we encounter new immigrants in the shape of plants and animals, including humans. We also have temporary exhibitions about different aspects of nature life attracting all senses.  

Bird watching

Through the large panoramic windows facing Lake Kävsjön, poverful telescopes help you to enjoy the rich bird life at close range. During winter you can also watch the webcam and see Golden and White tailed Eagles feeding.  

Activities for young and old

Test your knowledge about “Allemansrätten” The Right of Public Access. Touch the fur of the stuffed Bear that was shot near the National Park in 2000. Examine animal skeletons found in the Park and other natural substances. Play a game or read a book from the library in front of the fire.  

Premises for private arrangements, schools and companies

In naturum there are premises for arrangements and small conferences for up to 40-50 people. The small kitchen is fully equipped. For schools there is a small laboratory and outside the entrance under the roof is an excellent teaching area.

Please take your shoes off

We keep to the Swedish tradition of removing ones shoes when inside. The floor is warm and you can relax and feel at home in a quiet atmosphere.  

Outside naturum

A fire place for grilling and benches for resting all close to the bird watching tower and the childrens little trail “Transtigen” (crane-trail). During snowy winters the ski tracks start from here.
