The first Recruitment Bazaar took place in 2001, the main purpose being to highlight for employers the wealth of largely unutilised international competence available in the County of Stockholm.
More than 20 percent of the county’s inhabitants come from a non-Swedish background. A disproportionately large number of them are unemployed or in jobs in which they are unable to use their professional skills.
This is the tenth time that the two-day Bazaar is taking place at Kulturhuset in central Stockholm.
Behind the Bazaar stands a group of public authorities, the business community, representatives from academia, and union organisations, with the Stockholm County Administrative Board as the linking factor.
